A brand wall as the first impression – welcome to Schwan!
German family company Schwan can look back on 160 years of experience. The group, which operates internationally, has three independent divisions to call its own: cosmetics, writing implements, and outdoor.
After a number of projects that had already been completed successfully, it was easy for the company group from Heroldsberg to commission i.xpo, the brand staging experts, to design a brand wall at the headquarters.
The i.xpo design department was happy to take on the challenge of combining all the brands into one concept. The centre of the concept was to make the three divisions – writing implements, outdoor and sports clothing, and cosmetic products – available to experience in a playful way. Thus, from one idea, an interactive brand experience was created with display cases and many small details – in short: each flap conceals its own little world.
One of the highlights is surely the wooden scale model of a SCHWAN BOSS highlighter pen, the well-known star of the division. Furthermore, a complete overview of the range of writing implements can be found behind each little door – an invitation to explore, test and experience the common thread, such as with Post-Its, postcards or love letters to fill in and take away. Digital content is also conveyed over small monitors.
The four outdoor companies, Deuter, Mayer Sports, Gonso and Ortovox, find a place in their own world, with clear visible recognition through the interplay of graphic panels and carefully arranged wooden mountaineer figures. Here too, there is plenty to discover, such as sheep’s wool from clothing production, padding for cycle shorts or a miniature Deuter rucksack as icons.
Even the area of Schwan cosmetics has its own special interaction areas; a printed cosmetic mirror gives the visitor an opportunity to take, post and share a selfie within the key visual of the brand. The expertise in the production of individual cosmetic pencils is highlighted by the presentation of 3D printed swans.
Particularly in the staging of global brands, the focus is also on production quality. The scene is set appropriately for the products and applications not only by the high-quality graphics and interfaces but also by the technology behind them.
The foyer of Schwanhäußer Holding beams a new message of welcome to its visitors and invites them to explore the world of the group. The group’s teams and the team from i.xpo worked on the concept for this brand experience with great dedication and passion.
