The Neocom in Düsseldorf is Europe’s most important event when it comes to mail order and e-commerce. Right next to the congress rooms, in addition to the high-class lectures and key note speeches, the trade visitors also find the fair “Neocom Expo”. As the main sponsor of the entire event, Deutsche Post DHL is one of the most prominent exhibitors there.
Trade fair appearances within the framework of a congress follow their own rules. After all, visitors don’t automatically want to use their breaks for further sectoral input at the trade fair stands, but prefer to visit the catering stands, get a breath of fresh air and recharge their batteries for a few minutes.
It was therefore not surprising that the Kaarst-based trade fair specialist i.xpo created a cosy, ultra-modern coffee house atmosphere for the Bonn logistics company, where the sender was only recognisable at second glance. With excellent coffee and cake, the job of the stand personnel was, in particular, to provide information on the products and issues of Deutsche Post DHL. Face-to-face communication, as should be natural in a coffee house. The result was impressive: no stand attracted more visitors, nowhere were more specialist discussions held.
Follow-up: several co-exhibitors already tried to copy the conceptual approach of the stand the following year. There can hardly be any greater praise from the co-exhibitors for a stand concept.
